is love of our parents more or our lover's / Wife's love is more

I am quite sure that this question is on every guy's mind since long.
some go in one way and others in the opposite way. I am not here to give any lecture on why one way is better than the other...I am here just to say what i feel about this issue

Frankly i have gone through the phase where i wanted to tell my parents about a person whom i wanted to marry and i would not be marrying anyone else other than that person. But As that fairy tale vanished and reality sinked in, i think now my decision is to abide by what my parents tell and go with them...

I dont understand what makes us feel that some one whom we know for 30 days or 2 years become so important us than our parents who have been
supporting us all through our lives, living only for us. Why do we tend to forget them at that time. Is it the young age which is requesting for a partner or is it the lust of a young body. Nonthless i cannot tell what it is..Yes i know if it is a real love it goes beyond it, but i dont understand one thing of why the same love of our parents which we would ignore at that time...not sure but i know for sure that all young lads would agree with me on this.....and the ladies, your comments are always welcome...
