she was smooth, fair...with long hair......with jasmine flower in it...
she had tied it upwords..how two jade were, was a sight to see....

she was intelligent, wise, and of course lovable........ she used to sit beside me.....
a classmate and friend for 3 years...

mounave abharana mugulnage shashikirana
notave hoobaana cheluvina madhuvana

she is best explained in the above scentences......but i was so young that i never understood i liked her this much till recently ( till 3-4 years ago).....

her smile ...i think might have made her parents to keep her name as smitha.......smitha....a gem of a person......

one incidence i would never forget.......that day was in 7th and our headmistress Anusuya madam came and informed us that we are going to get a class group photo tomorrow. Next day we all assembled in the auditorium and she was absent on that day...i felt so miserable. I felt like telling our HM that we could take
the snap tomorrow when everyone were present...but never that much guts....even today when i see that photo i feel so miserable i could not see her at least in the photo.......

just i would wish her a happy life.....

Doni sagali munde hogali
doora teerava serali...............

preeti, prema, kadhal, olavu, pyar, love - love endare yaru bidisada bandhana

Schenectady - the simple town in upstate NY with the Mohawk river flowing through it.....its such a romantic place................and i work there.... lolz

that was a slow Sunday .... i woke up at 11 and went straight to kitchen to find out what was there to eat......
u know how a bachelor’s life is.... yeah..single ready to mingle........

i switched on my laptop...it took close to 10 mins to login and open my main desktop..in the mean
time i finished my daily chores. I think i need not explain them..lolz....

i went to http://radio.musicindiaonline.com/ and clicked on the kannada radio button...the radio started and the song
" love endare yaaru bidisada bandana" was playing.....

i am 27, i think i am mature ...... i started thinking abt it seriously.....

what is love.....how does it happen......can it happen in first look..or does it take many looks to happen....
what is the quality that attracts two people...should it happen between one male and female..or can it happen between two adults..i think u got what i meant.....
is looks a most important criteria for loving some one as we see in the movies........so many questions came to my mind....

i tried answering them by my own understanding of life.....

love is something which is not in our control...it just happens between any two adults..not necessarily between a boy and girl
i have seen all kinds couples in life which made me believe in this........

may be looks is not mandatory..but somes times i do feel it is required ..sounds confusing....yeah it is....

i think the simplicity, the caring and probably the sweet touch of the person can be the qualities which i think is can bring two people closer in life.....

by the time i completed writing this blog ....the song was playing " olida jeeva jotheyaliralu baalu sundara, vishwavella bhavyavaada preemamandira" from Benkiya bale.......i just swept in that feeling..

My family came from bangalore to hyderabad to bid me off...all my mother's sisters' and my granny came to give me a send off.....i was happy and enjoying all these moments which i was sure of missing in US.

the 4 days which were for preparation to move to US was hectic, lots of shopping...and yes lots of calls to attend.....

the support given by Sai, Shami's cousin in Hyderabad should be remembered as he was with me till the last hour ....
and bobby, my little bro in office...he is a charm to be with...he supported me by ferrying me between office home and Mashah alla office......

i got all help and then got ready with all the luggages...2 luggage bags and one carry bad....

on the D-day i.e 24th March 2007, i went to the Hyderabad international airport ( Rajiv Gandhi International aiport as renamed by congress govt there ) with my family and friends who came to see me off.....

those last moments were really so nice and memorable....my mom was almost crying but was not showing it off on her face... all my family gave me some gifts and asked me to take care....

my friends - suri, his roomie caleb, dinu, guru, nikhil..etc...i dont remember others ( sorry, u need to remember that my brain does not have more capacity lol).....each and everyone pulled my leg as that was their last time to do so ... lol.....

atlast i checked in and was waiting for security check....my papa and mom who are bit traditional took me aside and told "harsha, neen maduve agohagidre indiadavalanne agappa " i was surprised and shocked to hear those words and i said to them..dont worry...i stayed here for 3.5 years and did not do anything....will i do anything over there .... lol ......

after that i started my journey to mumbai from where i will be boarding the US flight to NY Airport....

In Mumbai airport i met Jagan who was a TL in REUTERS project which was my first project too..he helped me a lot in my first journey and was there till i reached NY and from there i started to Albany.....

US, the dream land, the land of opportunities.......a country which some people hate , some people dream about... i reached there safely....

Albany is the capital of NY state and Schenectady is the place where GE office is located and am supposed to report there.........

hopefully i would enjoy the stay here

history about name

Harshavardhana

Harshavardhana was an Indian emperor who belonged to Pushibhukti family. He was born around 580 AD and is believed to be the son of Prabhakar Vardhan, the founder of Vardhan Dynasty. At the height of his glory his kingdom spanned the Punjab, Bengal, Orissa and the entire Indo-Gangetic plain north of the Narmada river. He ascended the throne after his elder brother Rajya Vardhana got murdered by Sasanka, King of Gauda. At this time he was just 16 years of age. After his accession to the throne he merged the two kingdoms of Thanesar and Kannauj and shifted his capital to Kannauj.

Harsha was a secular ruler and respected all the religions and faiths. In his early life he used to be a sun-worshipper but later he became the follower of Shaivism and Buddhism. According to the Chinese pilgrim Xuanzang, who visited the kingdom of Harsha in 636 AD, Harsha built many Buddhist Stupas. He was also a great patron of the Nalanda University. He was the first to establish the Sino-Indian diplomatic relationships.

He was a good scholar and a noted author. He wrote three plays in Sanskrit namely Ratnavali, Priyadarsika and Nagananda. We can find well-documented record of his reign in the work of his court poet Banabhatta. Bana wrote Harsha Charita, the first historical poetic work in Sanskrit language. Work of the Chinese traveler, Xuanzang also provides a deep insight into the life during Harshavardhana's rule.

He ruled India for almost forty years, and died in 647 AD, leaving behind no heir to the throne. After his death his empire disintegrated.

My visit to Niagara…

On the day before Memorial Day, my colleagues and myself had planned for a visit to the world famous Niagara Falls

Niagara falls is located in Buffalo County, some 300 miles from my place Schenectady.

One of my child hood dreams was to visit Niagara Falls in NY State of US of America.

I had heard about this waterfall that it is one of the 8 wonders of the world.

This dream had set in my tender mind when I was in my high school and one of my best friend Yogi’s brother was in Canada then. He had showed me the photos of his brother at Niagara Falls and the casino behind it. My tender mind then had set this as a goal for my life. Though it now seems to be a small issue, but the path took me through this IT industry. And when I came to US I had this love of visiting the Buffalo County where Niagara falls.

We started for Niagara Falls at 8.30 in the morning towards Buffalo. On the way we saw the Mohawk River that flows though Schenectady. I saw the cows in the waste grassland, meadows and old houses. I was filled with joy after seeing the greenery. We reached Niagara at 1.30 in the afternoon and we ran to the counter to take the tickets to visit the places.

Though lonely in my mind, I was happy at least to have some colleagues of mine whom I consider my friends. I took as much happiness as I could in their presence.

First we went to Wind of the mist, which takes us to the Niagara Falls and shows us both the American as well as Canadian Views. When I saw this falls, my mind ran behind 8 years to compare it with our own World famous Jog falls…

Lot of difference is there between the falls…. Jog is tall, Niagara is wide…Niagara roars all over…Jog roars only with Rorer…these two sisters are a festival to eyes…

Cave of the wind gets you nearer to the roaring American falls. But for our Jog, you have to walk through the steps and forest to catch up with the nature’s marvelous creation.

We had already spent lot of time in waiting and enjoying both eh cave of wind and Wind of the mist. But still we waited to see the color show from Canada. It was marvelous to see that the color of water kept changing and u can see a VIBGYOUR Niagara. After this we waited there to see the crackers show and by the time we finished everything it was 11, we had some food in the Punjabi Dhabha and left to Schenectady

By the time we reached back to home it was early morning 5.30 AM of Monday, i.e. the Memorial Day….

9 varshagala nantara modala saalugalu

Working with ELTPs

Company X often takes freshers and label them as ELTPs - Entry Level Traniee Profesionals.

I had joined satyam as an ELTP and now successfully completed 3 years 3 months in Company X. In this journey i met many freshers and worked with many.

I would share with you guys some of the funny moments which i had faced with them.

The recent one is with one Santosh.
I was testing one module with him. Mine is Mainframe and his is a Web technology and data has to go through his system thru FTP.
I tested my module and i could see data reaching his server. He said he is not getting data. and he is asking why his application is not taking data. Now tell me, how can i help him in this.

the other one was webmethods testing. Same thing with Seema, venkatesh etc etc

What to say
