As i had told you folks before that i had joined a new MNC Bank in my hometown...its been 8th month since i joined. There has been lots of changes that i have been made to go through( not only me, but others too).
Personally too i had undergone lot of changes and by god's grace, has been successfully handled that.
Well, getting back to the professional section. I started working in this company, which was a new domain, new technology, new team. With so many new's i still was able to catch up to others and was able to perform equally well. But all the efforts which were about to give some results, was abruptly changed by a major Organizational Architecture change. Some part of work will come from my company's HQ and what ever task i am doing right now will be moved to C***A.
In some way, it is good that they have already said that my role would be an increased role where i would be performing much more deeper work than now. But, certainly i lack Technical skills to that extent which i have to build up on.
Let me list down the challenges that i have in the new role and later on list the growth prospects(of all kinds).
Here are the list of challenges that i have in performing the new task
1. As said i have to take the task from the HQ(the job is similar but for a different business, as told me by management).
2. I have to transition this to C***A hub.
3. Not sure of the associate from there, where he is technically skilled or not.
4. Communication with C***A folks is going to be a big headache.
5. I am not sure of the extent of technical and functional skills required for the job.
6. I am not sure of what will happen to my career as i have already completed 7 years and in the middle of 8th year of my career.
Here are the benefits that (they have told that i will receive them) are said to happen
1. Role Enhancement( from simple developer to Developer lead) without any promotion.
2. Working on new domains and hence widening the functional scope.
3. Since involved in giving KT and getting KT at the same time, would develop experience on Hub's working.
4. Will get the individual attention this time on Every one's Career Development Plan( Managers have told the same thing to everyone).
5. Corollary to Role Enhancement is that the skill-sets required for the new role are identified and management would help me in developing them.
Though, i feel, that this opportunity is going to be a game changer in my career. I still feel very anxious( i always do). I hope things would work out in favour of me and without causing trouble to others....
